"ORION" Information Literacy Tutorial
The library of the A.T.E.I. of Thessaloniki has developed «ORION» an Information Literacy Tutorial, which aims at helping students develop information literacy skills. Information literate students are better able to find and evaluate information, write papers, avoid plagiarism and respect intellectual property rights.
The design and implementation of the online tutorial is based mainly on the standards of the Australian and New Zealand Institute and is tailored to the information needs of the A.T.E.I. of Thessaloniki.

The tutorial consists of five basic independent modules:
- Definition of information needs
- Information search and location
- Information evaluation
- Writing and publishing
- Right and productive use of information
This tutorial also includes an automated tool for the creation of bibliographic references.
